First off, I love the ambiance of Mikomi! The interior has a cute aesthetic vibe to it. The service was great. I usually get the rainbow or the tempura roll and I enjoy both equally, it just depends how I'm feeling that day! If I'm leaning towards fresh fish, the rainbow roll is perfect and if I want something more friend, the shrimp tempura would be my choice of selection! I haven't been here for happy hour yet but Mikomi has a solid happy hour menu to check out!

Dinner is pricier and the place is relatively busy. The quality has remained consistent at this location but the price has gone up, no surprise. A Chilean Sea Bass is now $35. We opted for the Salmon Teriyaki and the Galbi Roll - my personal favorite. Wouldn't be a proper dining experience without some vegetable tempura. The food is really delicious, and they really do serve up some tasty sushi. The dishes did not disappoint but with Tip the total came out to $73 for two people. This restaurant is great for a date or special occasion. We stopped by on a Friday Night with Monrovia hosting Small Business Booths on the street. Parking was trickier this time but we parked next to a Church. Overall, Mikomi is a premium dining experience but they also have lunch specials.

THE best sushi we have ever had and we have sushi often. You want to have a mystical experience of the senses? Get the Lady Marmalade and get slapped to oblivion. What a treat this place is! We will drive the hour to get here and it's worth more hours of a drive. Thank you amazing staff for being so exceptional in your service.

Due to the pandemic I hsd been ordering for takeout. I finally got to dine in. Beautiful interior. The staff was so nice. They had their doors unlocked before they opened. We went in and asked if we could waitbinside due to the heat and they kindly said yes and showed is seats in the waiting area. We tried the bento with bbq pork belly, spicy tuna roll and mixed tempura along with a udon combo with CA roll and a citrus salmon roll. I was very surprised by the portions. Since the rolls came as psrt of a combo I thought it would just be a few pieces. All of the food was delicious! Kind staff. Nice ambience. Good food. It's great!

Mikomi is very spacious with lots of seating. They use cute robots to deliver your food sometimes when your server is too busy. We enjoyed the sashimi combo, the fish were thick, fresh, and tasty. The best roll we ordered was Citrus Salmon, we liked it so much, we end up ordering 4 of these among three people. The salmon was slightly baked and wrapping the basic avocado roll and topped with a slice of lemon. The zest and the citrus really bring out the sweetness of salmon and makes every single bite such a pleasure. The roll melts in your mouth and relax your soul on a hot steaming summer day. We also order the miso seabass rolls, the seabass was nicely seasoned with miso but I think the flavor didn't jump out from the roll, it could use some charred. Their tempura shrimp was always a must for me. The batter is airy and crispy, with bouncy shrimp inside. It elevates the dining experience. The lotus wrap was ok - it was a lot going on and I didn't find it too memorable. Everything was above average, would definitely want to visit again.

We went to Mikomi in Monrovia on Labor Day and they were packed! There was no wait for our part of 2, but almost every table was filled. It took awhile to get our drinks and food orders in, but once we did, they arrive around 10 minutes later. Not too bad! Unfortunately, I don't actually like sushi. My boyfriend said the rolls he ordered were fantastic! I got the chicken katsu with a side of curry. I actually liked it a lot, especially for a non-sushi dish at a sushi restaurant! The chicken was well breaded and plentiful and the curry was just the littlest bit spicy with potatoes and carrots. I'm almost certain they used the curry blocks to make it, but still good. The chicken katsu came with a pathetic white lettuce salad. Neither of use ate it. The bathrooms were in terrible shape which is why I took off 1 star. One stall in the women's room did not latch, the other was backed up, and it was just grimy all around. I hope the staff have a separate hand washing sink before playing/serving as there was no soap either!

My boss took my team out to lunch & we decided on Mikomi since it was super close by. I've been to the Mikomi location at the West Covina Mall. Service was SAUR fast -- we got our food in less than 10 minutes. We came here on a Wednesday during lunch & I loveeee soosh! The servers were kind & consistently came by to check up on us and offered us re-fills for our drinks. Sushi quality is okay -- but for the price point she isn't too bad !
